  • Sydney: Callie's roommate. She was admitted for substance-abuse.
  • Debbie: has a weight problem, among other issues. she is very caring and is always doing things for others, especially Becca, a girl who is extremely thin and sickly from anorexia. she really has such a kind heart and means well she just has her own personal issues. She tries to be the leader and respects everyone.
  • Becca: A girl who is taken care of by Debbie. She is Anorexic, she pretends that shes eating her food but she either throws it up or hides it.
  • Amanda: The "new girl" who comes to the institution after everyone else. She cuts herself like Callie and isn't afraid to show it.
  • Sam: is Callie's little brother. he suffers from severe asthma.
  • Tara: Another Anorexic girl who is also in Callie's group therapy.
  • Tiffany: A substance abuse girl in Callie's group.
  • Claire: The group therapist.
  • Ruth: Callie's escort from place to place throughout the book. they form a bond.
  • Peggy: i dont know her yet, not that far into book yet
  • S.t.: is Callie. S.T. was the nickname given to her by Sydney. S.T. stood for "Silent Treatment"
  • Linus: Callie and Sam's cat they love him
