“This is not your typical romance from Lisa Kleypas - actually, I read this book first and then was disappointed with her other books. This book has more depth and character development in addition to romance. ”

And it's very depressing because I usually love Lisa's books... And I read great reviews about it, but I simply can't push my way through it... Maybe I will try for the fourth time later on.
[Monday, April 16, 2012] So a few days ago I gave this book another chance and now I can't stop thinking about it. I LOVE Lisa's writing. Every chance I get at my job I open the book and read on... I'm so badly in love with the story now, I can't wait to see what will happen next. Some scenes even made me cry.
[Sunday, April 22, 2012] God!! I LOVED this book!! Though I wanted Liberty to be with Hardy but I have to admit Gage won me over, he is perfect. I totally loved the story. I can't wait to read the second book. I just ordered the third one, I hope there will be more stories about the Travis family.”
“LOVE LOVE LOVE CACNNOT PUT IT DOWN!!! LITERALLY! WHEN I WALK DOWN THE STREET, IM READING. WEN IM AT THE POOL IM READING.....CANNOT STOPP!!”

Altough she is known with her historical romance novels.. I particularly love this.. It's so compelling.. I can't put it down..
I like the fact that Lisa made it as much as reality her characters can be.. I admire how strong willed Liberty was,to go through what she had been was very inspiring.. I was disappointed on how Hardy turned out to be.. I know He & Haven will be the next character going to appear on Blue Eyed Devil & i am very excited on how their relationship will turn out..
I am swooned by Gage.. Never thought he would this gooey in love.. Although there are still some unanswered questions hopefully it will be revealed on the next book.. I would really love to know who's Carrington's father was.. By God hopefully it's not Flip.. I am guessing that Miss Marva knew..
All in all.. i love this book.. it is know one of my favorite book..
i am recommending it.. worth the read..

“"Sugar Daddy" draws you in from the moment you start reading! Lisa Kleypas has a way of writing that captivates you from start to finish. My only negative is that I wish there was more books in the Trilogy! This is a must read!”

This book is different from the other two in that she focuses much more on Liberty, the main character, taking us through her life starting when she is a girl in a trailer park, to when she is in her twenties, as opposed to the romance between her and Gage. The sparks still fly between Liberty and Gage near the end of the novel, but it is much more a book about self discovery and about coming to terms with the past before moving on to a future. Liberty is a strong woman and a character that the reader feels strongly for. We root for her, and long for her happy ending. Thankfully, we are not disappointed. Read all of the Travis series - you'll love them. Can't wait for Joe's story!”

She fell in love with Hardy Cates when she was fourteen and when he left Welcome, he broke her heart. She’s been taking care of her little sister Carrington ever since she was born, and now that she’s Carrington’s sole carer, she needs to make it work. She left Welcome to leave behind the bad memories and start afresh so that Carrington can have the life that she deserves.
When Liberty gets the chance to work for Churchill Travis as his personal secretary, she jumps at the chance. Part of the job is to live in his house, and not only will this job provide Liberty with money for Carrington’s future, but a stable and secure environment too. But Churchill’s offer isn’t as readily accepted by all, especially his eldest son Gage. He is convinced that Liberty is just a gold-digger, looking for a Sugar Daddy to provide for her, but when extenuating circumstances force them together, he starts to discover that perhaps he was a little too quick to judge her … and when Hardy Cates storms back into her life, Liberty is going to have to make the hardest decision of her life …
Review: The first novel in the Travis series is just as good as the first. I like how Lisa Kleypas built up Liberty’s background and story from the very beginning with Hardy so that we get to judge who is the best person for Liberty. Like Blue-Eyed Devil, Lisa Kleypas continued to shock me with her storylines and this is a beautiful story
