The whole thing travel thing would have worked if Emma had her own little trip, or atleast had her memories fully returned. However I really liked it. ”

Yet, I did find myself a little wanting in the end but I am not sure why. I feel as if the whole Adam thing was a little rushed and there were times when I felt Nikki and Emma needed more romance time to get to love after all the hardships they put themselves through. This could've been helped by spending less time in the 'dream' or past and concentrating more on the present relationship. However, I could easily get over this as it wasn't that pressing as it is for me in other books since the rest of the book made up for that by leaps and bounds.
The characters were portrayed fantastically. I have a weakness for the brooding wounded sort such as Nikki and the need to get past that in order to find love. Emma I loved greatly with her tendency toward very different past times and beliefs that other ladies in romances don't always possess and I find it refreshing and much more real.”
“Half the book was excellent and the second half was so ridiculous that it seemed like the author had gotten herself into a corner and chose a crazy solution to the problem. ”

He is cold to her and his illegitimate son, Jake. When he is suddenly sent back in time 150 years into the body of his ancestor, he meets Emma again. This time he begins to trust her with his love.
I was very bored with this book. Nikolas is not a likable hero and I just wanted to choke him for the way he treats his wife and son. The time-travel section of the books slows the story down even more. I almost gave up on this one and can't recommend it. My rating: 2 Stars.”
“I never thought I'll come across a book by Kleypas and its utterly ridiculous. I was looking forward on reading this book especially after reading Midnight Angel , I was so intrigued by Nikolas that I wanted to read more of him. I must say I was so disappointed , the story started with a good plot but then it got so tangled up with Reincarnation ! Even as a fiction this sounded so ridiculous. It killed Nikolas's character and depth .
So far this is my worst kleypas book .
”
“It's so rare for me to not like a Kleypas book. I didn't care for the reincarnation thing. I was interested by the very beginning of the story and then that was it. I'm sorry, but I just couldn't stomach the "hero"'s redemption at the end. It seemed like the main reason he has a change of heart is because he fell for the woman that his wife was reincarnated from. If you are big into that kind of thing than you might like this book. It just didn't work for me.”
