Twight's writing is mesmorizing for its honesty and careful balance of attitude and honesty. He does a great job of illustrating the bond that can develop between two climbers attacking difficult pitches. I think the highlight of each piece is the author notes at the end. They do a good job of summing up each piece, giving a good context to the time, and most of all showing his growth as a human and a climber. I would recommend this to everybody, whether climber or not!
