Lovely story of the simple yet complicated lives of young women of a certain class coming of age, thinking about husbands, position, money, the future, with all the gossip and drama of young women today (although in a much more proper language!)

Sense and Sensibility is chock full of humour, drama and romance, and the characters are so real, and often very relatable. I adore Marianne espesh

Just by being a Jane Austen's novel it has to be great!!! And I was right! It is great! I really loved it, though I prefer other novels by Jane Austen.

It was much more melodramatic than her following books: The ones who betrayed the sisters are rewarded instead of punished. There isn't much humor, and it mostly stems from the cattiness between a title sister and her rival. The book falls in despair rather quickly: Ten pages in, I couldn't believe all the bad luck the sisters had accrued. Austen's style evidently matured quickly.

Appreciated this so much more as a more mature reader.

Wow. That was intriguing. I must say that it was artfully written, and I only regret that today's books are written so poorly and without much imagination. Nothing can be compared to the Classics!
