“I just finished this book for the third time. Jacques and Shea are a great couple. Jacques was tortured, burned, cut, staked and buried alive for seven years. He was wripped from his family and they thought he was dead. Jacques is the brother to Mikhail and he is Carpathian. Jacques reaches across time and ocean to reach out to Shea O'Hallaran, a surgeon in the United States. She feels Jacques pain physically and dreams of him in her sleep. She is being hunted by a group of men who want to use her and abuse her because they believe she is vampire. As a doctor Shea knows her blood is different from others. She has to have 'blood transfusions' to live. Jacques continues to push Shea to find him. Eventually she finds her way to the Carpathian Mountain and what she finds is a 'wild man'. A creature more animal then human. His mind is fragmented and he is lost. No memories of his past, only the constant pain and confusion he has lived with in a coffin buried for seven years. I dont want to spoil too much of the story, but like the first book Dark Prince, the reader learns more about the Carpathians. I learned more about Aidan who is my particular favorite. I read this book in three days and still cant wait to read it again. I love her Carpathians and she writes a wonderful story....”
