So many books, so little time - so I rarely reread a book. I have read this one three times and am looking forward to the third.

Has anyone read the House books by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson? They are very well done and closely mirror Frank Herbert's style. That is who released the final two books of the original series (from the found manuscript) and there is another book forthcoming -- Paul of Dune.

If you don't know, Frank Herberts lost manuscript was found in a safe deposit box by his son Brian a few years ago and it is now availible in 2 books, so if you read the series but have been dying to find out who those two old people with a net are you can finally find out! I'd have waited another 15 years for it, not many write like Frank anymore.

Somebody here said that the sequels aren't that good...I found The God Emperor of Dune the best of them all.

I read it a year or two ago. I really like it, terrific ideas, especially about fear. Didn't like the sequels as much.

I just couldn't get into this book either. I also didn't like the Foundation series much, though I did manage to read them all. I guess I don't like books with "scope" :)

I struggled with this one. Took way too long. Not my kind of book, I guess.
