I enjoyed this well-researched book about Lady Jane Grey, England's 9 day queen during the Tudor times. It was such a sad, tragic story of a real young girl caught up in the political machinations of her family. Ironically, Lady Jane probably would have made a good queen if she'd been given the...

I enjoyed the author's writing style. Too often historical fiction can be too fanciful but this was pretty much spot on in my opinion.

Meh. Alison Weir is not cut out for this sort of thing. All the dozen or so narrators sound the same, it was very slow-moving, and Jane’s voice is way too grown-up -- even if you took into account her intelligence, she sounds like she's thirty when she's supposed to be four.

Innocent Traitor was thoroughly researched of course, but to the point where Weir seems to have forgotten it was, after all, a novel. You’d be better off with one of her histories instead of this “novel” which was really a history in disguise.

Didn't think I would enjoy historical fiction but I liked this a lot and learned some things along the way.

Somewhat enjoyable, but I think Alison Weir should stick to writting non-fiction, as the writting style felt somewhat forced.

Another great book from Alison Weir. A different view of Henry VIII's court. Easy reading.
