The stories are short and, as is the case with Christie, quite clever. Sometimes a little too short one might think, but one does not notice such things when reading about Poirot and his little escapades until it is finished. I enjoyed every single one of them.

I bought a secondhand copy for only ten pence at a car boot sale in Oxford. I don't really like the character of Hercule Poirot, but I like the way the book was organized - it contained twelve or so stories relating to each of the labors of Hercules.
