Nick Buckley, young and carefree, has no idea her life is in danger until Poirot points it out... An unpretentious thriller with a youthful orientation. One of Christie's 'minor' novels. Good reading

this book was one of my favorite on my list because of the suspence and incredible plot. this book was full of action, mystery and love.
i choose this book just because it was laying around my house. once i began to read it, i couldnt stop and put it down. i would definately suggest this book to anyone who enjoys the mystery and action and a strange twisted plot.

A rambuctious young woman's life is put in danger by an unknown source. But who could want to harm such a lovely little flower and why? But what might be a tangle of nonsense to some is just a pile of string waiting to be unraveled for M. Hercule Poirot. But could the person that everyone least suspects be the killer?

A solid Poirot mystery with a twist that compares unfavorably to The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. The clues are scattered a little more obviously than they often are in a Christie mystery, but the resolution of the red herring leads to one of the best last pages in a Poirot novel. Unfortunately, Christie's disdain for her lead detective starts to show through in this novel, Hastings is rather annoying as always, and there aren't really any minor characters that stand out. A must-read for a Christie completist, but not where I would recommend someone start with her works.

Blackadder 5 out of 5 stars While on holiday Hercule Poirot gets involved in a case to save a young woman's life. Miss Buckley had three near miss accidents in as many days, Poirot must first convince her that she is in danger and then solve who is trying to kill her. Even with Poirot on the job a murder is committed, with the victim being mistaken for Miss Buckley. Can Poirot figure the case out before it is too late?

I really enjoyed this mystery, very typical Agatha Christie. I had no idea who the murder was or why, there's a huge twist to the mystery at the end. Something that I never saw coming
