In this book, they are not yet married, but are two old friends who run into each other after the Great War, both unemployed and in need of income. They decide to hire themselves out as "Young Adventurers," and adventure soon comes their way as they go in search of an American girl named Jane Finn, who disappeared shortly after escaping the LUSITANIA on a life boat. This book is a lot of fun, and although I adore Hercule Poirot, some of my favorite Christie works are her forays into adventure. ”
