I difficult book at times to follow, but I absolutely loved the applications of it. I saw so much of myself in the book. It discusses the idea of survival and survivors vs. thrivers vs. nonsurvivors. It discusses the necessitiy of a PMA (positive mental attitude) and how the application of that and various other techniques are what make you a survivor. Although this book directly correlates to survival in the wild. I applied it a lot to my survival throughout school. I saw myself a lot from times past and saw many good things that I have done and bad during high-stress situations. Since I will be starting PA school soon and it will be extremely hight paced/stress environment I will use these skills that I have learned in this book for that and for the rest of my life in all situations. I see the application of the Gospel of Jesus Christ much of that of a survivor and these ideas/techniques have helped me to be more solid in my testimony, faith and resolve to live a better more Christ centered life.
