  • Pam Shepard: She is the woman Spenser is hired to find after she leaves her husband, Harvey Shepard, and her children.
  • Spenser: Hard boiled detective (The series is based on the adventures of this character)
  • Jane: a radical feminist of Pam's acquaintance; lives with Rose and knows karate
  • Macey: King Power's business man/accountant
