- Dana Cardwell: part owner of a large Montana Ranch and a small fabric store loved Hud Savage only to break up with him five years ago due to catching him in bed with her older sister. She wounds up falling in love with him again.
- Hudson Savage: The interim Marshal, former Deputy son of Brick Savage lover of Dana Cardwell.
- Rupert Milligan: The coroner who appears to know more of the victim of Ginger Adams than he seems to know.
- Lanny Rankin: an attorney and nephew of Katherine Kitty Randolph.
- Raymond Randolph: a judge killed 5 years ago by his wife Katherine Kitty Randolph.
- Kitty Randolph: The judge's widow and Judge's murderer.
- Jordan Cardwell: Dana's eldest brother wants to sell the ranch and is fighting with his sister Dana on selling it.
