Aha! Here is a favorite author of mine that we have in common! I really enjoy the Herriot books.I'm reading his book of Dog stories now and again. Then too, I was fortunate to come across a pictorial ? l book of his at Good Will. Much appreciated. I love his sense of humor and wonderful compassion for mankind and the animals. His stories sometimes make me shed a tear of two though. That, from someone who does not have a dog nor do I intend too, though I do lean toward purring cats, untill I encounter their shedding cat hair.
