“The best of the series so far. Karigan is back at the castle as a green rider after two years of trying to refuse the call. There the trouble begins....
The second novel is thrilling ( i couldn't put it down), with ghosts from the past, unwilling time travel, forbidden romance, grief, and so much more. Definitely worth your time...”
“good book. better than the first in the series. ”

Lacked the suck-you-in quality, but for no reason I could find. good world, magic, swordfighting, plot and characters. Well written and probably loved by many, thus given four stars here, i probably would rate it a 3 star book personally. I found myself skimming through pages and not getting caught up in the story. On the upside, when reading, i did find it hard to put down because i was waiting for the next big plot point which happened quickly and surprisingly. fast paced book. I dont know why it didnt gel with me when it should have. weird. 3-4 stars.”

I like how Karrigan progresses as an individual during this book but am pretty upset about the development between her and the king. I hope it resolves itself in upcoming books, but am worried that since it doesn't seem to be resolved in the next book, the author may not choose to do so in the fourth.”

The stakes are higher, the characters growing, the scenes widening. These novels will be read more than once by the three fantasy fans in our family.”
