Welcome to My Planet

by Shannon Olson

Welcome To My Planet is a novel that happens at the most neurotic point in one's life--when not dating is as acceptable a social form as dating; when early-morning NPR, infomercials, and VISA provide more thrill and companionship than grad school or one's day-job colleagues, and the daily struggle to get out of bed and interact with higher life forms than the plants or the TV remote takes on... A cute chick lit book. Made me realize other people are just as crazy and disorganized as I am.

Reads kinda like a diary where it jumps from subject to subject, and comes back to the subject before etc. Chronicles the growth of a middle-aged woman, and it's funny because she sounds kinda like me.

Written by a classmate of mine from high school. We were on the swim team together. It is a good book and fun to see all of the Chaska and MN references.

A little better than average book in the Bridget Jones style. Single woman looking for love in all the wrong places, and taking a very long time to grow up. Very funny in places, but sometimes I just wanted to shake Shanny, and tell her to wake up and smell the coffee.

This was sort of a cute book. At times, I wanted to slap the main character but for most of the times it flowed really well.

Probably my all time favorite book. Every page had some thought on it that I totally related to.
