“My 2nd P.J. Tracy book and I got what I've expected. A good read. Never boring. But doesn't excite me too much. ”

During the drive they take a side trip to see a tourist attraction barn, after which they start driving back roads in the northern woods. When their car breaks down, and their cell phones are in a dead zone (mine never works up there, either), they walk to Four Corners, a strangely quiet town. There are no signs of life in the town, the phone lines are cut and, shortly, they find themselves running for their lives. And I found myself racing through the book to find out what happened in Four Corners.”

This time, Grace, her female Monkeewrench partner and a female FBI agent are on there way to Wisconsin to set up a program which will help the local law enforcements to trace criminals. After a side trip to see a large barn with a Mona Lisa painted on the side, Grace's vehicle breaks down in the middle of nowhere. To make it worse, there is no cell phone coverage. The woman decide to walk to the nearest town for help. Upon arriving at Four Corners, they find the town strangely empty: no cars, no trucks, no people, no animals...nothing. when investigating they find a sinister plot by a neo-military group intent upon changing the world. The woman began a run for their lives.”

Greace, Annie, and Sharon are heading to Green Bay Wisconsin, when they make a detour to for sightseeing. Their vehicle suddenly breaks down in a "dead area" - no one around and no cell phone communication. They must walk to find help. When they finally reach a town, the complete silence is scary. No people, animals, birds, etc. As they rest in a cafe, a truck carryhing a couple speeds into town. Following them iis a jeep with soldiers, who then brutally shoot the man and women. The three women hide while they contemplate their next move. ”

These are entertaining mysteries. The stories have excellent plots and some wry humor. Some of the characters are computer geeks with eccentricities galore, and some are seasoned law officers. There are love interests and some views into the times in which we live. Most of all they are fun to read. I strongly suggest any interested parties read these books in order. The first one is called Monkeewrench.”
