Excellent research about the Nobel Prize. Genious, in all of its forms, does not overcome true human nature in this book.

Made into a film starring Paul Newman. Wallace writes well not just in this one but most of his books

Its not just a piece of fiction but a journey (a very engrossing one..) through human nature and his behavior which is so characteristic of the individual yet ever so vulnerable to the circumstances and/ or opportunities.

mr. Irving can research a book like no other and he sets all the real data in the midst of a par excellent fiction story which defies imagination. All the characters are very real and i am a little biased about the alcoholic author who thinks he killed his wife. Pure genius and the ending speech is deliciously corny and satisfying.
