“Awkward and unique children, Meg Murray and Charles Wallace, have come across strange and mysterious women who claim to be able to help them find their missing father by the use of a tesseract. A tesseract is like a wrinkle in time that lets them travel across both time and space. While searching for their father they get caught up in a momentous battle of good versus evil that spans different planets. The story involves adventure and fantasy, but it is mostly focused on the development of Meg’s character. The book has mystic and intellectual themes to it as quotations from great literature abound and math and science concepts are discussed. Readers who have enjoyed other classic children’s fantasy books should give this a try. ”
