“This is anovel about a young girl, Meg. Meg does not do very well in school, although she is great in mathematics. She misses her father, who has gone away on a secret government job. One day the letters from her father stop coming and her family as well as the government does not know what happened to him. Meg's younger brother, Charles, introduces Meg to three women. Their names are Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. who, and Mrs. Which, and they were from another time period. These creatures take Meg, Charles, and another friend to a different planet of a different time. Her father was being held captive by a creature called IT. They are able to rescue Meg's father, but now the IT has taken Charles captive. Meg saves her brother by the love she has for her family and friends. They are all able to travel back in time together. Her father is home to stay.”
