The Non Judgmental Book Club 20 books / 5 members / 3 posts We are a group in a small town in the north central part of Texas. We meet on the last Monday of the month. Members take turn choosing the books. The rules are simple: (1) Nobody is allowed to judge another member if they didn’t read (or finish) the book. (2) Books can have political or religious themes, but they should not be political or religions books. Example: Animal Farm = OK. How To Talk to a Liberal (If You Must) = not OK. There is a time and place for intense religious, theological and political discussions, but this club is not it! (3) The book should be somewhat of a classic or should have at least stood the test of time.
Dragons and other speculative creatures 104 books / 55 members / 95 posts This group centers mainly upon books in the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres, focusing upon creatures such as the sure footed unicorn to the ever majestic dragon. Recommended Books for Family Reading 328 books / 13 members / 2 posts We want to encourage children, teens, and parents to enjoy reading; to read for fun and to read together. Please recommend fiction and nonfiction books for their authorship and/or illustrations. Also, include books that are good read-aloud books. The best are a little higher level than what the child can read, but not too advanced. Older children will love chapter books and will eagerly wait for the next family reading time.

We also recommend books by DK Publishing, Eyewitness Books, and Usborne Books.
Mad About Books 1 books / 6 members / 5 posts A group for people who still love the aesthetic of real books.
