A Gown of Spanish Lace (Janette Oke Classics for Girls)

by Janette Oke, Natasha Sperling

A Janette Oke Classics for Girls book. First-time schoolteacher Ariana is abducted and taken to an outlaw camp far from her home. As her confinement stretches into weeks, Ariana learns little of her captors. But the one man assigned to her care doesn’t seem to share the temperament of his violent cohorts. He may be Ariana’s only chance for escape. (read review)

This is my favorite Janette Oke book. I'd love to see it made into a movie. It would almost be like one of those classic westerns, but with a Christian emphasis. There's a little twist at the end, but like all of Janette Oke's books, you know it will turn out alright in the end.

I agree with you. There was one thing at the end of the book that I thought the story could have done without. The book in all, was wonderful, though.

This story is full of action that's not typical for this author. Except for one small detail at the end of the book, I found it to be captivating and clever.
