Sandy and Dennys accidentaly go back to the times of Noah's Ark. The descrepition makes it feel magical.

Twins Sandy and Dennys Murphy disturb their father’s experiment on space and time travel and find themselves displaced back in the time of Noah and the flood.

“Many Waters” was my introduction to Madeleine L’Engle, and it was a favorite in grade school. I was afraid I had outgrown it, but thankfully I still find it beautiful - An atmosphere still pure one can see billions of stars. The sound of baboons clapping to greet the dawn. Listening to the wind and stars talking. Unicorns and mammoths and manticores and griffins. Silver and golden seraphim, cool and fiery nephilim.

Not the best of the Wrinkle in Time series. I loved A Wrinkle In Time, but this was a bit of a dissappointment.

I read this after I had read the other 3 novels in the series, and I was fairly disapointed with it. It lacked the appeal of the others, and did not seem to fit in with the original storyline at all. However, it was nice to learn more about Sandy and Dennys as characters, and to have them get their own chance in the spotlight. I only wish it had been for a better adventure.

I remember being confused as to why Noah's Ark was in my fiction book, but it was pretty good none the less.

My favorite among Madeleine L'Engle's works. The descriptons of the seraphims & nephilims are superb!

Not as big a fan of this one as Wrinkle in Time, but still has some interesting thoughts about life.
