• Tru Walker: Twelve-year old Tru has hopes for hosting her own television talk show. Aside from that, she is half a twin, Eddie who is developmentally-delayed. She lives and deals with the everyday challenges as well as the joys of living with him.
• Eddie Walker: Eddie is Tru's developmentally-delayed twin. He poses as a challenge for Tru's everyday life because of his situation.
• Deedee: Tru finds on the net, in search for Eddie's cure, an online pal who provides her with cliches serving as answers to Tru's questions regarding Eddie.
