A twisty, unexpected re-working of the character Mordred from the King Arthur legends. This is obviously the first book of a trilogy. My biggest complaint is that this book spends a great deal of time focused on Mordred's childhood, shaping his adult character, and the relationships to come. Now that all that is out of the way, I believe the next two books will be great reads.
