This is a fun mystery, much of which takes place on a trip to Antarctica. There is a fictional South American country, which represents any South American dictatorship but had me wondering if I'd forgotten my geography all together until I decided it had to be fictional. After reading this Ill look for some of L'Engle's other books about the Austin family.

The only thing I liked about this one was that it brought Adam and Vicky back together. Otherwise it was - if I remember correctly - a strange mix of spiritualism, penguins, and politically correct ecology.
