“I was disappointed. There were a few moments where I thought it was really getting good only for it to stop abruptly. As a short-story collection this one had a lot of interesting ideas, but none of them came together to really give me more than a feeling of mild disinterest. The best part of the story was the back story weaving all the other stories together, but even that wasn't really scary. In the afterward, Clegg mentioned that these stories weren't written to go together originally, but...”
