I love this book. It provides everything you could ever ask from a language reference, and in style. Its inviting tone and early tutorial chapters welcome novice Perl programmers with open arms. This book is surprisingly suitable to new Perl programmers; surprising, because its long-term value is actually in its comprehensive coverage of the Perl programming language.
