“While I found the first-person narative satire funny and delightful (although it lacked the chatty nature of some humorous cozies), while the plot was good (although not great), weaving a murder from the 1950s with events in the present, and while the tidbits about Perry Mason and Erle Stanley Gardner sprinkled liberally throughout the book interesting, I had a hard time relating to the main character, except that she was a mystery fan who sometimes imagined herself as her favorite characters. Other than that, she seemed a little self-centered and pretensious.
All in all, a fast, enjoyable cozy.”
