I've been reading more mysteries lately, so I thought I'd give Woods a shot. However, he doesn't list his series in order or even BY series in the front of his book, so I picked up a book and tried to trace backwards. Turns out, I got a series with only 2 books. This one was pretty good. I prefer my mysteries to be modern-day, but this one was still really good. I think I'll try some of Woods other series next.

Stuart Woods is a great writer and he keeps you interested. I enjoyed reading this action-packed,turn paging thriller and it inspired me to read "Beverly Hills Dead". This novel is about old Hollywood complete with wealth, glamour, and blackmail, all of the things that made the town famous!

Rick Barron is a Beverly Hills cop, in the right place at the right time. This is the fictional tale of his rise from street cop to Hollywood producer in the late 1930s, amusing and entertaining.

set in 1939. Hollywood cop at motion picture studio. Drops various movie star names, murder, set ups and also good people trying to keep things clean and fair.

    Nice read. Enjoyable.

Good story about Hollywood many years ago...in the 40s. Interesting reading and different for Woods.
