A fascinating read on the Bayeux tapestry and the history behind it - from the battle of Hastings that forms the majority of the tapestry later created to commemorate it, to the hunt for the tapestry and its origins in later years, to World War II when Hitler sent Nazi officials to study the tapestry in another of his attempts to steal another culture's heritage in the name of further glorifying the Third Reich. It's amazing what lies behind the mere weavings of fabric.
