I got this book at a book sale at work, and I immediately tried a few of her recipes. They came out delicious, and I love Zarela's stories about growing up in Mexico.

As a side note, I had the unfortunate assignment of writing an obituary on Zarela's mother, Aida Gabilondo, a few years ago. I had an opportunity to speak with Zarela, who is very gracious and eloquent, about her mother, and I was so inspired by their story that I asked my own mother, who ran her own Mexican restaurant...
