Like vampire stories? Then you owe it to yourself to read this story of a small New England town which is beset upon by a very dark force. Taking first a child and then snowballing before most ihabitants know what is going on, the menace within the night grows as a few unlikely heros (who may show up in a certain "Dark Tower" series) make a stand in a house with its own dark past and a very dark new inhabitant.

It took forever to get into and wasn't as scary as it was perceived as. Definitely not Mr. King's greatest work.
