“"The Gunslinger" bye Stephen King is the first book in the "Dark Tower" series. It takes place in an alternate world, very much like our own, and follows a character named Roland, who is in search of the mythical Dark Tower. During his journey, he comes across a boy named Jake, who has been thrust out of the world as we know it today, and into the one of Roland. In my opinion, this wasn't one of King's best. I mean, it wasn't totally boring, but it really could have had a lot more action. There were many parts of the book where it was just kind of a chore to read. So yeah, all in all, not very good, but not painfully bad in between. Just a not-so-happy medium.”
