“I read the original version, then the revised. The changes weren't so dramatic that they would change the review.

*The Gunslinger* is the first book in the Dark Tower series, and actually stands alone more easily than the subsequent six books. The story comes to an (uneasy) break at its close. Also, the style is very different from the other books, and liking *The Gunslinger* is no guarantee that you will like the other books, and vice versa. ^_^

    “I've been reading Stephen King since I was a teenager. I discovered "The Gunslinger" from a neighbor of mine and was instantly hooked. If you read one, read them all. These are definetly his best series in my opinion. I also like that there is a tie-in to good old Randall Flagg (The Stand). Everything this man writes is linked. You gotta love that.”
