This book shows Stephen King's veratility as a writer, proving he can not only be a good horror writer, but he can also delve into adventure, western, science fiction, fantasy, and a little bit of philosophy. An unusual combination, but a well written one.

I've been reading Stephen King since I was a teenager. I discovered "The Gunslinger" from a neighbor of mine and was instantly hooked. If you read one, read them all. These are definetly his best series in my opinion. I also like that there is a tie-in to good old Randall Flagg (The Stand). Everything this man writes is linked. You gotta love that.

This entry should be renamed to "The Gunslinger", right? It's rather misleading.
