That's a good question. Now I have to go re-read it so I can get a feel for an answer.
In response to Valerie M who said she likes The Mist and The Raft, I agree those are great stories. I'm partial to Mrs. Todd's Shortcut, and The Crate (from Creepshow, so it really only indirectly applies to this discussion).

I think the best short stories here are: The Mist (of course), Nona, Survivor Type, Mrs. Todd's Shorcut, Gramma (very creepy), and The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet. Many of the other stories are OK but some are simply not King's better works.
