Liked It“I've read this over and over. Excellent overview of horror fiction, horror films, and schlockola in the USA, from that delightful Stephen King POV. The recommended reading and viewing lists in the back are more than worth the price of admission, but there is so much more in here.” see full review » see other reviews » |
Didn’t Like It“Mostly commentary. Very dull. Soliloquy does not do him well.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“Found this more engaging than his fiction, but quite patchy as I usually find his work. ”

Too bad it ends at 1980. King should really write a sequel or an update. I'd love to read what he makes of current horror right now in a detailed analysis. ”
