i was surprised by how much i loved reading this. i just could not believe what the world had come to in this story. i figured out how it would end and although the end was disturbing the book was satisfying as a whole.

Like The Long Walk, The Running Man skirts the boundaries of reality television, which was in its infancy at the time it was written.
