A fantastic book that had me hooked from the very beginning. This part of the series chronicles Roland as he "draws" three people [technically] who are prophesied to help him on his journey to the dark tower. The Prisoner [and the "monkey on his back] by far interested me the most. I always found myself laughing out loud when Eddie Dean opened his mouth. This second installment makes me look forward to the rest of the series even more.

The story builds with the gunslinger as he opens 3 mysterious doors and draws the people from our world into his quest for the Dark Tower. Definitely an entertaining sequel to the first in the series. 4 stars :D

all of these have to much foul language for me, if I could get past that the story line isn't to bad.

The Drawing of the Three is really good even though the beggining and end are kind of slow. If you skip parts of this book you won't understand some parts. There are parts in this book that are really confusing and they use bad language for example when they meet Detta and Odetta was probably the worst part in this book because Detta is inside Odetta and and Detta tries to get out but Odetta won't let her. But Odetta is crippled so Roland and Eddie have to help her. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes Steven King's books or The Gunslinger

This was a really interesting read. Very different from the first book, but strong in new ideas it brings. I didn't care for the new characters at first but they really grew on me, perhaps that was the intent.

The best parts were with Eddie and Jack Mort. Odetta was interesting but just not as interesting, but the caricature of Detta was very interesting. I see that some of the other reviewers missed the overt explanations of why she talked like she did. Mr. King is not that naive.

Started on the Waste Lands already, next review coming up.
