“This was one of the first books by Stephen King that I had read.
*The Long Walk* is a look at mortality and how people change when they really understand their lives are in the balance. The one thing that really makes this book stand out in my mind is the ending. Often King doesn't have the best endings, but this ending (although ambiguous) seems like the most appropriate one he could have written.
I was surprised to see someone say this was a look at the reality shows of today, since this book was published in 1979 originally.”
