“Book started out oddly for me...very soap opera in nature, almost in the style of a 'romance' novel,but if you stick with it, you understand the historical need for that beginning. Amazingly graphic, you could picture how this would look done as a film (anyone thinking about it)..the cutting between past and distant present was interesting but found myself looking forward to getting back to the war and the characters there.”
