“This is a very detailed well written book. The context of the book is for people who like to read older style books with lots of details. The is very interesting and is a classic. The character is Jim. A maylay jungle tribe call him Tuan Jim, or in english Lord Jim. Jim is a sailor on the ship the Patna. When the Patna is sinking and Jim and 3 others abandon ship. The Patna did not really sink though, because a few days later the ship is found and towed back to port with all passengers and crew surviving. When he returns to port and finds out about the boat being found he, the captain, and 2 others are sent to court. Jim is then condemed for being a coward. Wandering the East Jim looks for happiness, and peace where nobody will bother him for his acts. Along the way he will get into a fight and new jobs working for ship companies ,his true passion, sailing, though he will get other jobs along the way. The book is a harder read but if you read it,it is a very good book. I would recomend this book to any good readers. ”
I've read and reread Heart of Darkness, one of my favorite books, also by Joseph Conrad. Have you read that?
