“Clever title with a good glimpse into assimilated Chinese culture while still boring.”

It's a funny love story about what it's like to grow up in San Fransisco and get involved in an interracial love affair.”

She lives with her grandmother (perfect for the lovelife), works as a receptionist (really using that college degree!), and trying to deal with her family, her heritage, and dating.
This was a fun read. There were a few laugh-out-loud moments, but mostly it was a nice story about a young woman trying to find her place in the world. I would recommend this to readers of chick lit.”

I couldn't escape it. It was a treat to read an Asian American woman's experience in San Francisco--I thought, how does she know my city so well... The book answered many of my uncomfortable questions about Asian American women and culture... more later.”
