Ahhh, such a wonderful book. The story of a white woman with English parents, abandoned in Morocco to be brought up by a Sufi master, and eventually going on to live in Ethiopia, then London, England. This books reveals such complex issues of culture as well as what lies in a woman's heart. Also gives you a look at the sacred Qu'ran as it should be interpreted and allows you to see how its original teachings protected women. Very well written, lyrical and touching. i must read her other...
