  “I bought this book after reading Kitchen and was not disappointed. Banana Yoshimoto's character narratives are like a breath of fresh air, and the stories re-read anytime I need a little moment of deep thought.”

  “Lizard was my first Yoshimoto, and is probably still the best since it's a short story comp and she has to get to the point quick. I liked all the pieces in this collection tremendously.”
