Interesting story, especially for young adults familiar with the Magic Kingdom. My concern with this book is the portrayal of the "bad girls/guys" and its focus on fictional evil becoming real because individuals believe in it (i.e. female villians in Disney animation). Too heavy for a younger audience with its bad magic and intense suspense and danger.

A fun beginning to the series - I love that they use my favorite Disney villian, Maleficient.

Great Read If you love Disney parks (or even if you don't). Characters are realistic and interesting. A great start of a terrific series. It may be considered YA but its for anyone and everyone who likes a good adventure with a hint of science and a sprinkling of fantasy.
