“This is a truly funny book about obsession. Steve Almond lives and breathes candy! I loved hearing about all the regionally family owned candy companies that are sadly being eaten up by the Big Three. How sad that a place like Walmart which is supposed to be so all-American (yeah, right) can't support these small American companies and instead gouges them out of the market. Politics aside, this book made me so hungry for candy. I even ended up buying my Halloween candy while reading it - two months early!”
