This book is number "one" of the 'relationship' books that I have read.

New Testament references like Ephesians 5 are a focus of this book.

If you will - please allow me to turn your attention to Genesis 3:16

"Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."

Gals: "TeSuqe" is the Hebrew word for desire here. "longing for" or "desire after"...

The SAME word is used in Genesis 4:7 - sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.

Let's face it - in Genesis 3 God was cursing - the serpent, Eve and Adam.

"Your desire will be for your husband," is not a blessing but a curse!

What ELSE does sin do but desire to CONTROL us?

In the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," the Mom says something like: "The man might be the 'head' - but the woman is the neck that turns the head."

Don't be fooled! This is a lie that came about by the father of lies.

Guys: "Masal," the original text for "Rule," means: govern, dominion, control, dominion, master, has a right to.

Gentlemen - I urge you to remember that this is a "curse" not a blessing!

The husband was never designed to DOMINATE his wife.

And the wife was never designed to CONTROL her husband.

Read "Love And Respect" to see what the New Testament says after being cut-free from this curse.

Decipher your spouse's language.... is it Respect (BLUE) or LOVE (pink) according to God's truths.

This was insightful for Eric and I. We read it together... and it has helped us see and hear each other in each's respective language.

Great read for married couples... or those planning to wed. A bit repetitive but overall... great insights.

“In the ultimate sense, your marriage has nothing to do with your spouse.
It has everything to do with your relationship to Jesus Christ.”
    Dr. Emerson Eggerichs

This is a quote from the book. It was a good one, and a worthy read. It helps a Christian couple see their God-ordained place in marriage, and how to make that marriage work God's way.

Great book for any husband or wife...puts it in simple terms and challenges you to be the best spouse you can be for your loved one.

I thought this book was very good for married couples. It was a bit repetitive, but good message.
