I really like this series...Chester is very succinct...she doesn't spend a dozen pages describing a building or the landscape. She gives enough detail to paint a clear picture, then she moves on...which gives her books a good pace. I like Dain and his men, especially Sir Terent and Thum. Alexeika is a tough female character who never becomes a whiny bleep. She is strong and capable...a bit of a Xena Warrior Princess type. I didn't like that she disappeared halfway through the Ring...I'm...
